Unfortunately, many children worldwide, particularly today, are still denied access to the powerful weapon president Mandela refers to. I started school when I was ten years old because my parents could not afford to send me to school due to a lack of resources. Just imagine the embarrassment and shame of sitting in a classroom with five years’ children! I still live with the scars from such humiliation and shame.
In Angola, 4 out of 10 school-age children have no access to education due to a lack of sufficient classrooms and teachers to cover the demand.
