We often think of churches as places you go to, buildings with services that people attend.
Encuentro Ensenada is a church with services every Sunday at 11 AM.
Encuentro is also a church that has begun to go into the community through “Plan ¡Ve!” (translated as “Plan Go!”).
In Plan Ve, the church and professionals from local hospitals provide medical care, haircuts, and lots of fun and activities for children in communities throughout Ensenada.
As Plan Ve got started, the haircutting team quickly encountered a problem. The high demand for haircuts meant hours of cutting hair without a break. Their hair clippers weren’t up for the task.
Thanks to Amoveo Group supporters, we were able to purchase professional hair-cutting tools that could keep up.
We love attending events like this, but they are only part of the larger purpose of our work.
Amoveo Group is here to partner with local leaders with vision, like the pastors of Encuentro. Their vision for their church to be a church that goes led to a project that continues to grow. We are here to show up, to ask how we can help. To lend our hands, our van, our logistical/planning skills, to help local leaders go.
